Program Summary

During the 2025-2026 school year, the Society partnered with the U.S. District Court for the Northern District of Illinois and the American Bar Association to bring The Supreme Court and My Hometown to the Windy City. In Hometowns Chicago, 25 students from 18 area high schools explored the federal judiciary through an intensive study of the Sixth Amendment case Escobedo v. Illinois (1964). Over the course of the program, students learned from federal judges, practicing attorneys, law school professors, and other courthouse staff.
