    a common wartime job; a person whose job it is to fasten things with metal pins called “rivets”

  • Robber Barons

    American capitalists of the latter part of the 19th century who became wealthy through exploiting resources, governmental influence, and labor.

  • Robert James Harlan

    a civil rights activist and politician. Robert was born enslaved and raised by the Harlan family. He was elected to the Ohio House of Representatives in 1886.

  • Rode circuit

    the process of Justices visiting towns in their assigned district, initially via horseback or carriage, to preside over local court cases.

  • Rule of reason

    a framework for evaluating whether or not a corporation is engaging in illegal monopolistic behavior.
